Street Preachers Arrested for Offending Pro-Gay as Well as Muslim Crowds
....In a video
captured by one of the men, Michael Overd, his preaching the gospel brought
the pro-Gay, pro-Muslim crowd to an uncontrolled frenzy. This got the attention
of the local police, who arrested Overd, not the unruly crowd. “There’s
a line of freedom of speech, okay?” The officer explained to Overd. “But
it’s when you’re causing a disturbance, okay, that is aggravating people,
antisocial behavior, which you were causing, you have been detained.” ....
Aviv— Fulfilling Biblical Prophecy and Future Promises
Trump has pledged to move the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
While the Old City of Jerusalem is the center of biblical events, Tel Aviv
has become Israel's economic and hi-tech center. As CBN News' Scott Ross
found out, the bustling city also fulfills biblical prophecy. Situated
on the shores of the Mediterranean, Tel Aviv could be described as Israel's
New York City. In just over 100 years, it's become one of the world's leading
startup cities. ....
Different Religions Peacefully Share a Sacred Site?
One of the
major points of contention between Israel and the Arab/Moslem world is
over the most sacred piece of real estate on the planet. At 37 acres, the
Temple Mount is the focal point of prayer and contention for the three
western religious traditions – Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. While
Christianity has Rome, Constantinople, and Jerusalem vying for spiritual
“seniority;” and Islam has Mecca, Medina, and Jerusalem; Judaism has Jerusalem,
and Jerusalem, and Jerusalem. However, traditionally, the role of the holy
city and, in particular, the Temple Mount, has been widely, if not grudgingly,
recognized in importance by each of these traditions to the other. ....

Trump Compromise on Funding: Abortion 'Vital to Our Mission'
Trump administration has reportedly told the nation's largest abortion
provider, Planned Parenthood, that it can maintain its hundreds of millions
of dollars in annual federal funding as long as it stops performing abortions
altogether. According to The New York Times, the White House has
issued Planned Parenthood an informal compromise that would preserve the
organization's federal funding, most of which could be stripped should
legislation that would repeal major components of Obamacare be passed....

Baptist Case Against Russell Moore
biggest problem is his mouth. He comes across as condescending—smug. That
is a major problem when you are in a job where you need to exhort people
to an elevated involvement in political and ethical issues. While Dr. Moore’s
defenders are trying to make this about race, the real issue is Dr. Moore.....

U.S. Shopping Malls Are Projected To Close As ‘Space Available’ Signs Go

If you didn’t
know better, you might be tempted to think that “Space Available” was the
hottest new retail chain in the entire country. As you will see below,
it is being projected that about a third of all shopping malls in the United
States will soon close, and we just recently learned that the number of
“distressed retailers” is the highest that it has been since the last recession.....

The Left Trying To Start A Civil War?
An army of
subversives is attempting to undermine the Trump administration from within
the government, and at the same time a whole host of prominent leftist
leaders are fueling the flames of hate against Trump and are promoting
riots, civil uprisings and in some cases even violence. And of course the
mainstream media is a more than willing accomplice, because pretty much
everyone that works in the mainstream media absolutely hates Donald Trump.
On a fundamental level, the United States is more divided today than.......
New film may raise some good
questions, but avoid its heresies and answers.
The film treads
on very dangerous ground by personifying God in the image of man and putting
words outside of Scripture into His mouth. The Shack is the first major
motion picture that presents God in three visual, humanized persons: Father
God or known here as Papa (Octavia Spencer) is portrayed as a huggable
black woman who wears beads and jams to Neil Young; Jesus (Aviv Alush)
is a super-chill, kind-eyed Jew who tinkers with wood in the shed and walks
on water; the Holy Spirit or Sarayu (Sumire Matsubara) is a swan-necked,
sparkly Asian woman who gardens and communicates in whispers. They have
personalities, facial expressions, fashon styles......

America a Christian Nation?
is a nation deeply influenced by Christianity and the Bible, but this does
not add up to a “Christian nation.” I love American history
and have read hundreds of books directly bearing on this subject, including
many dozens of biographies of America’s most influential early leaders
as well as more recent ones. It can surely be said that America is
a Christianized nation in the sense......
Reminders As We Serve the Dying and Their Families
months ago, I received such a call and went to visit an elderly man, the
father of someone in our church....They made their way into the room and
stood awkwardly along the walls and in the doorway. It was obvious no one
wanted to approach the bed. The man’s son, whom I knew, leaned over and
said, “Dad, this is Joel. He’s a pastor.” Then he moved out of the way
to give me room to do whatever it is that pastors do in situations like
this. As I stepped toward this elderly man, I remember thinking that I
was putting on the mantle of a pastor approaching a death bed, which I’ve
learned means five things........
Ways Churches Can Encourage Members to Share on Social Media
through Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram, your church can reach, inform,
and inspire more people when you use social media wisely and effectively.
But that’s not where the social media influence should stop. Truly effective
social media campaigns don’t end with the originator of the message. They
motivate those who see the posts to share with their friends and beyond.
So how can your church encourage your members to share your content with
their friends? Here are five practices that we’ve seen work for churches
who get their members to share and engage more often.....
